It isn’t a secret eastern cultures have long explored alternative approaches to health. In fact, the Chinese have been brewing up a probiotic rich tea that has been improving many aspects of health including digestion, metabolism, cleansing and detoxification, immune support and reduced joint pain for more than 2,000 years.

Kombucha is a fermented beverage, which contains a colony of good bacteria and yeast made with tea and sugar – various sources including cane sugar, fruit or honey – which act as food. After fermentation, kombucha becomes carbonated and contains tiny bubble creating a wealth of health.

Insert MotherLove, a young Kelowna company now sharing kombucha with the Okanagan and beyond. They currently have their products in 13 retail locations throughout the province and are a part of Farm Bound delivery to Northern BC, the Shuswaps and select cities in Alberta. You can also find them most Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Kelowna Farmer’s Market.
